Welcome to July! And it’s time for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club July Christmas Challenge! We have a year of new Christmas Challenges! You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how. Bet you’re wondering what the challenge theme is..I’d love to tell you but you’ll have to go see for yourself.
For my card, I die cut the new Slimline die in white. I die cut two of the cabin & fireplace dies..one in white & one in white glitter, along w/ the trees in white glitter. Then I put them all inside the little frames & stamped only a small part of the greeting on the frame.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

A big congrats to Trudy, the newest Featured Stamper on Splitcoast! She has a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS to case. I really did case her card..even though it may not look like it. I loved the color in the bg w/ the die cut on top so that’s what I kept. I used different colors, dies & sponging instead of brayering.
I took a few extra pics to show you how I got the color in precise areas & left a white highlight.
First, I attached the black die cut to the white card stock w/ temporary adhesive (pic above). Then I used the makeup brushes to apply the colors in specific areas.I didn’t worry about getting in on it since it’s black, I knew it wouldn’t show.
You can see the negative white image when I remove the die cut. I started to use it just like that, but then decided it added more drama to put the black die cut back in on top, but I shifted it slightly, to leave a white highlight on the right side (pic below). I like how it resembles stained glass.
The birthday greeting is part of a balloon image & trimmed off the balloons after die cutting it & attached it to an oval frame.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy 4th of July! It’s my turn & my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge this week & we’re heading to Hometalk. Talk about a rabbit hole..I could get lost in there for days, checking out all the fab DIY projects. For my card, I was inspired by THIS. The simple, nautical wreath turned into a little beach & sailboat scene inside a wreath.
After die cutting a white & a navy circle frame, I cut pieces of the navy one, edged them w/ a gold Krylon pen & attached them to the white frame. On the circle inside the frame, I added waves, a sailboat, some palm trees & a beach umbrella. For the sand, I cut the Kraft c/s, stamped it w/ a splatter image & white ink, then inked the top edges w/ the white ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
