Welcome to July & to the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club July Christmas Challenge! You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how. Bet you’re wondering what the challenge theme is..I’d love to tell you but you’ll have to go see for yourself.
For my little Penguin Carolers (& 1 reindeer wannabe), I colored them & die cut w/ the matching die. I also die cut the antlers (from a deer die) to place on the center penguin. From the look he’s getting from the penguin on the left, I don’t think he’s buying the reindeer transformation, lol. After die cutting the circle out of the top of the front panel, I stamped the ornament branch on top of the circle & also on a separate circle. I masked the tiny ornament & sponged some streaks of Distress ink over it.

Here are the Copics I used. (Sorry..I forgot to take a pic of the inside.)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Congrats to Janeen, the newest Featured Stamper (FS647) on Splitcoast! She has a lovely gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the birthday/fishing theme but used different images, different dies & different colors.

For my card, I was trying out this new Camo Bg stamp. I will not lie…I had a bit of trouble at first. First couple of times, I used it too much & just made a messy looking bg. The next 5 times, I couldn’t find a color combo I liked. It was going to be like the little fisherman’s vest..but again it looked too messy so I just used a small part of it for the vest. I finally went with sort of a watery color combo then stamped the little fish on top. A little more subtle, but I like it.

The fisherman was colored w/ Copics (except for the paper pieced vest) & I split the greeting above &  below him before adding a dark charcoal layer. The camo bg was actually done on printer paper..it was one of my practice sheets but I liked it so I just glued it to the same charcoal c/s & went w/ it.

Here’s the inside (I replaced the W in Wishes w/ an F from the Pawsitively greeting) & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC708) we have Converse shoes. They actually have a colorful, fun site & I was inspired by THIS pair of shoes. I love the rainbow of colors.

For my card, I first white embossed the mermaid tails & little fish then used Distress reinkers & a waterbrush  to create the rainbow of colors. The paintbrush was used to float in water, a section at a time, then drops of the reinkers were added. I made another little scrap like it to use for the die cut the “Happy”. A little splatter, some sequins, the stamped rest of the greeting & done.

Here’s the inside..I did a little masking to recreate the Fintastic part.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
