A big congrats to Cathy, the newest Featured Stamper (FS699) on Splitcoast! She has such a big, beautiful gallery it was hard to pick just one. For my card, I cased THIS card of Cathy’s. I liked the little rectangle image w/ the greeting underneath, so I kept those. I used different dies, a polka dot dp & totally changed the theme as well as flipping the layout. Yeah..I’m not sure how the cactus turned into a cafe set, but there it is.
For my little cafe scene, I die cut the patio set 3 times..in white, gray & hot pink, then stacked them. I shaped the umbrella a bit & added little pink birds & a flower vase. I came across the gray & pink polka dot paper & IRL, the gray frame accents it really well. But I’ve found most grays really freak out my camera. Anyway, lots of layered frames were stacked because it helped them show up better & I noticed Cathy likes a lot of layers.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC760), we’re visiting a Pinterest Boards called Happy Walls. I was really struck by THIS mural & used it for the inspiration for my card.
For my card, I stamped the image & left her mostly black & white. I added just a little color to her eyes & lips w/ an E53 Copic & also added some gold Wink of Stella on top of her lips. I used a lt cool grey Prismacolor pencil to add just a touch of contour to her face. The branches were all die cut out of silver glitter paper & I used the same Copic marker to make some of the leaves a champagne color. She’s popped up a bit on top of the ovals & then attached on top of a die cut floral frame.

It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge (FS698) this week! A big congrats to Patti, the newest Featured Stamper! She has such a lovely gallery & there are many I’d love to case but I chose THIS card in the end. I loved the flowers at the edge of a cutaway corner, so I kept that. But I used different images, dies & a different background.
The single rose image is a 2 part, watercolor stamp & I put the solid part into my Misti & inked, spritzed, stamped & repeated this w/ a couple of shades of rose colored ink. Then I stamped the black outline & added a bit more shading w/ a few Copics & a white Prismacolor pencil. I made three of these & die cut them to go on the corner that I cut w/ a curved border die. A diagonal stripe bg stamp & a light green ink were used for the bg layer.
These are the few Copics I used in addition to the inks.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
