I made these for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club July Christmas Challenge! I’ve been having so much fun being a part of the challenge this year & the bonus is I’ll have a bunch of Christmas cards finished in plenty of time for Christmas this year. You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how.
To make my card, I die cut the Merry Christmas once in white & once in red then pieced the red parts into the white outline. The solid mittens were die cut in white & the toppers were cut once in red & again in black & pieced. I die cut the wonky square then used the smaller size to cut the middle out & make a frame. The black print is part of a folded card. I bought the box of printed cards a long while back & I’ve used them more as papers on another card than as cards themselves. The red polka dot print is part of a Pebbles pad.
Here’s a look at the inside using a couple of old PSX images.

A big congrats to Donna, the newest Featured Stamper! I had a hard time choosing, but finally narrowed it down to THIS. I kept the colorful chevrons & birthday (my bday greeting is on the inside), but I used different images, different layout & mine’s a retro theme.
I stamped the tv & paper pieced the fun paper for the screen. It kind of reminded me of those test patterns (remember those?). So I also added some retro images from a couple of old PSX border stamps.

I had a little more time today, so I made another for the Color Challenge (CC476) on Splitcoast. The colors seemed perfect for this wisteria image. After stamping and coloring with Copics, I did my out of the box treatment on it. It’s such a large image it was about the only way I could add any more layers and have them show. After die cutting it and the brushed gold layer behind it, I wanted a little more color but all I had was the darker strip on the left, so I added another strip of a lavender heather and embossed it for some texture.
I added two metallic Candi dots in the curves on top and bottom. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
