Congrats to Vickie, the Featured Stamper at Splitcoast (FS269)! What a splendid gallery! I chose several and this one is a very literal CASE of her My Door is Always Open. I just love the layout so I kept it intact. I changed the sentiment, used dp instead of all plain c/s, used different embossing folders and added a couple of extra layers.
The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread designs. I cut the strips of c/s and dp into little flags then embossed them w/ different folders. The button was the most involved part of this card. I wanted this shade of peachy-pink but didn’t have it. So I colored a white button w/ 2 Permapaque markers then coated it w/ clear nail polish for a little shine. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Sunday!
Today, the Featured Stamper Challenge (FS268) on Splitcoast is…EVERYONE! Each of us is our own Featured Stamper! So pick one of your own cards, CASE (copy and share everything), remembering to change at least 2 things, then play along!
I found out one important thing with this challenge, I found it much harder to CASE myself than I would have imagined. To me, it’s just hard to pick a card I’ve previously made then make another with changes. I find myself wanting to make the same card. I usually don’t have that problem when CASEing someone else. In the end, I kept the layout and most of the details, but changed the colors, the stamps used and the embossing folder. Here’s the original card from April 2011, called Butterfly Dreams.
And here is my CASE of this card:
See what I mean? They look like sisters. One a butterfly, the other a dragonfly. The images on the new dragonfly card are all from Our Daily Bread designs. After sponging the background, I stamped the cattails , small dragonfly and flourish image around them to make the frame. I used a little bleach to remove the color in select areas.
The white background was embossed with a Sizzix folder and some stickles was added to the images. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.
p.s If you read Cindy’s Featured Stamper post, then you know I’m one of the new Featured Stamper Challenge team! I’m so excited to be working along side Bridget Finlay, Judy Rozema and Stacy Morgan to bring you the FS challenge. And good luck and best wishes to Cindy in her new job and thanks for the wonderful Featured Stampers she brought to us!

This is another for today’s Free for All challenge (F4A109) on Splitcoast…use 3 or more of something. And this one is really CAS (clean & simple). I definitely used more than 3 of the dogwood image and added 3 dots of the black enamel accents under the sentiment. There are also 5 score lines going down the left side.
The images are DRS Designs and are new this month. The main image has the 2 dogwoods paper pieced w/ blue cut outs. The blue dogwoods on the strip were accented w/ a white chalk marker. The card is 5.50 x 4.25.
