Welcome to April!  And it’s time for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club April Christmas Challenge! We have a year of new Christmas Challenges!  You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how. Bet you’re wondering what the challenge theme is..I’d love to tell you but you’ll have to go see for yourself.

For my Christmas card, I silver embossed the pine bough image across the brushed silver paper then die cut it and a dk gray/sparkle paper. The greeting was also silver embossed on a smaller piece of the dk gray.

The bells image was colored w/ Copics & pretty much all of the cool gray Prismacolor pencils then fussy cut. I kept the greenery on the gray side of green so it wouldn’t stand out so much.

Here are the Copics I used:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A big congrats to Betty, the newest Featured Stamper (FS686) on Splitcoast! She has a lovely gallery & after much browsing, I chose THIS card to case. I kept most of the layout & flower theme, but used different images, dies & colors, & moved the greeting a bit.

After coloring the pretty flowers, I decided against fussy cutting them entirely & instead used my out of the box die cutting technique. A black pinstripe paper was added down the left side & I tucked in a few die cut green branches. On the greeting, I stamped it on a narrow piece then used just one scallop of  the largest pierced scallop circle die to cut the ends. A couple of black mini brads were put on the ends.

We have a very colorful sock site, called Joy of Socks, for our Inspiration Challenge (IC747). I chose THIS pair of socks for my inspiration. Good thing I kept the pic, because the socks have been removed from the site!

For my get well card, I die cut the various succulents out of teal, lime & scraps of watercolored paper then die cut the white pots. I wanted a large window, so I used my die  resizing technique to make the (original window is only 4 panes) window half again wider & longer. I’m not gonna lie..it was a little tricky but it worked. The valance was cut using a curved border die & fun orangey-red paper. Another, subtle print was added behind the window & I popped the whole thing up just a tad w/ cardboard. I wanted a little pop of color, so I added some little red flowers to a couple of the plants.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Keep safe & be well!
