Flowers for a Friend

It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge so a big congrats to Pauline! She has a wonderful gallery, full of inspiration & for my card, I chose to case THIS card. I like the bright flower on the black bg so I kept those, but I used different images & dies & added a layer.

On my card, I stamped the layered flowers then fussy cut them & the leaves. Good news..there’s a die coming for this so it will be a snap later on. The fern fronds were die cut out of a lime green. On the black bg, I used an embossing folder on it, then cut the smaller layer out of it, inserted a piece of designer paper, then put them back on top of the larger leftover frame. The greeting is on the same lime paper & I added a few sequins instead of the glitter Pauline used.

When I started my flowers, I did a few test runs using different color combos w/ the yellow, blue & pink inks.  I ended up using the pink & yellow combo, but you can see, there are a lot of different looks from just a few colors of ink!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
