For today’s Clean & Simple (CAS382) Challenge on Splitcoast, the topic is Wing It..use birds, butterflies, bees, etc.  So I have a few little seagulls on my beach scene, flying just outside of the spotlight scene.

This scene was pretty easy to create. I already had the die cut circle so I put it into my Misti, stamped it w/ Memento, then sponged on the sky, hills & water, colored the sand, sun & tree w/ Copics, then over stamped w/ Versafine. After die cutting the larger white panel, I lined up where I wanted the circle, removed it & stamped the scene again on the background then added the greeting & seagulls. I added a couple of narrow black frames & done!

Here’s a look at the inside.

The Free for All (F4A322) & Mixability (MIX169) Challenges today on Splitcoast both have Earth Day as the theme. So I thought a world map would fit in. For the MIX I have ink, Copic markers & UTEE.

I stamped the world map onto parchment colored c/s with the Paris Dusk ink, colored with Copics & fussy cut it. I just happened to have a world map embossing folder (what are the odds?) so I embossed it on the blue background. The greeting was split in two and die cut w/ an arrow die in opposite directions.

The glossy heart is a punch that I used on a separate stamped piece of the map & attached to card board to make it thicker. I was going to put some glossy accents on it but it turns out I’m terrible at watching stuff dry. Then I remembered I have mega amounts of UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel) so I rubbed the top of the heart w/ Versamark & heat embossed it w/ the UTEE about 3 times. Once is good..3 times is better! The little red dot on the compass rose is a bonus…I had so much heated UTEE that a perfect round dot dripped off. When it cooled, I colored the back side w/ a red Copic and attached it on top w/ a drop of super glue.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Today’s Free For All Challenge (F4A329) is teal & red. My teal is slightly on the turq side (I’m down to scraps of true teal..need to get some!) & my red is slightly on the vermillion side because it went better w/ the shade of teal.

Since it’s getting close to the end of the school year & a lot of people like to make cards for those special teachers. This also continues the DRS Challenge from yesterday to use a die cut. My original intent was to use the Owl & the Open Bible & then I thought, what goes w/ books? Reading glasses! Around here, anyway, because I have terrible eyesight. Then I pulled out the Teacher Tools & saw that the stump the owl was sitting on, matched up just about perfectly w/ the pencil cup in other image. If I had done it before hand, I would have masked the apple, but since the owl was already done, I just masked him & did an extra apple to add on top. The book was stamped twice & I used a Micron pen to scribble the “writing” & popped up the extra image to give it some dimension.

The teal bg was embossed w/ an apple folder & the Thanks word was die cut once out of the vermillion & once out of white & double stacked a little offset. The glasses were die cut & I put some thin plastic behind them to simulate the lenses.
Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copic colors I used.
