Congrats to Brent, the newest Featured Stamper (FS679) on Splitcoast! He has a wonderful gallery full of digital projects. After much browsing, I chose THIS to case. I kept the layout & flower on the side, but used different images, colors & dies.

I stamped & colored the dogwood branch like a cherry blossom branch then fussy cut it. The white bg was embossed w/ a cherry blossom folder & I added a couple of narrow layers. The greeting was stamped on a large stitched flag. I did have to use my resizing technique to make the flag a little longer.

Here are the Copics I used:

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC740) we have Stencil Girl Shop. They have some wonderful stencils, but it was a bit tough at first for me..I tend to be inspired by color first & it was all in black & white! So I headed over to the blog & found lots of color. THIS is my inspiration..the color bands reminded me of a rainbow, so that’s the direction I went.

I started by stamping & coloring the image, then used my into the window techinque to cut around the top, then inserted the stitched rainbow die behind it. I colored each rainbow strip then put them back behind the image. A little Wink of Stella gave them a nice sparkle.

Just to give it a finished edge, I added a narrow yellow strip at the bottom of the rainbow, then stamped the greeting.

Congrats to Susan, the newest Featured Stamper (FS673) on Splitcoast! She has a fab gallery & I chose THIS card as my inspiration. I kept the blues & oval but used different images & dies & turned the layout.

I thought a little winter card would be nice. I put thank you on the inside but it could just as well be a winter birthday card. Had to take the pictures flat because this navy bg is one of those colors that defy picture taking. I have a couple of colors that the camera just goes haywire trying to capture the color & this is one. Flat like this, it comes out fine & hopefully you can see the silver snowflakes & silver embossed greeting, too. The snowflakes were stamped w/ the silver ink, but I didn’t emboss them..just heat set them. For the ice skates,  I stamped them on the lighter blue/gray c/s & used Prismacolor Pencils on them. I have really enjoyed using the pencils on different colors of c/s lately & this color seemed to work out well for the skates. A few silver punched snowflakes were added to finish.

Here’s the inside:
