Welcome to 2021! Are you as happy to say adios to 2020 as I am? Seriously, all I can say to 2020 is don’t let the door hit you on the way out. And it’s time for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club Jan Christmas Challenge! We have a year of new Christmas Challenges! You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how. Bet you’re wondering what the challenge theme is..I’d love to tell you but you’ll have to go see for yourself. Hint..I’m really loving the new theme for this year.
My card is pretty easy…I stamped the piggy w/ presents onto kraft & colored it in using Prismacolor pencils. I really love the look of Prismas on kraft & especially when paired w/ a bit of white. The snowflakes were stamped on the large kraft layer using Distress picket fence ink then I added a white layer behind piggy & a scalloped edge down the left.
Here’s the inside. I figured the greetings would work well for Christmas, New Year’s or any winter holiday.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Congrats to Gayle, the newest Featured Stamper (FS722)! She has a lovely gallery & I chose THIS to case. I mainly went w/ the one on the left, keeping the cardinal & greenery, but I used different images & dies & used a different layout.
I stamped the lantern & colored it w/ Copics. Did a little out of the box to keep from cutting off the top of the lantern & the tip of the cardinal’s tail (trust me..birds do not like you messing w/ their tails).
On the kraft layer, I stamped the new pinecone all over w/ the Distress oxide ink but a left a space for the greeting. The pine green circle was dry embossed & I rubbed some gold rub n buff type paste over the top of it. A white gel pen was used to add some highlights to the greeting.
Here are the Copics I used:

A big congrats to Melissa, the newest Featured Stamper (FS721) on Splitcoast! I chose THIS case. I kept the Christmas theme w/ the stockings on the fireplace, but I used different images & dies & left off the lace trim.
For my card, I had this Santa image already colored & tucked away, because after I colored it, I dropped the inked stamp on the top of it & ruined it. Anyway, I was able to salvage the lower half of Santa & his bag of toys, which I fussy cut. The fireplace was die cut & I used a brick stencil on it. The rest of the brick wall, was stamped, sponged & a few Copics were used to help color in the bricks.
