For the  Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC869), we’re visiting Garden Collage where I found THIS picture. The palm trees got me started on my Christmas card, but I replaced the van w/ Santa.

For my mini slimline card, I colored & die cut Santa & all the palm trees. On the background, I picked an area for the water then used the 2 blue-green inks and a wavy stencil. To get a little variation, I also sponged on a bit of white ink thru the stencil. The stitched hills were die cut & sponged w/ mocha ink then added for the sand. The lt blue ink & a cloud stencil was used in the sky area. The greeting was stamped, all the pieces attached & I added a couple of seagulls to finish it.

Here are the Copics I used. The first one was for Santa & the second was the palm trees.

A big congrats to Splitcoast’s newest Featured Stamper! She has a lovely gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the circles but changed the arrangement up a bit. Used different images & dies & made mine a Christmas card.

On my card, I die cut Santa & the sleigh out of white then colored the parts w/ Copics. The reindeer was cut out of kraft & I used markers & a white pencil to color him. I stamped the snowflakes w/ the pale blue ink over the bg. The painted blue circles were cut from a leftover bg I made on THIS post. The stitched snowy hills w/ the greeting were added at the bottom.

Here are the Copics I used on the die cuts:

Welcome to June!  And it’s time for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club June  Christmas Challenge! We have a year of new Christmas Challenges!  You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how. Bet you’re wondering what the challenge theme is..I’d love to tell you but you’ll have to go see for yourself. Hint..I’m really loving the new theme for this year.

On my CAS Christmas card, Santa & the other images were stamped, colored & die cut w/ their matching dies. Santa & the small circle greeting were popped up a bit & since the bottom looked too empty to me, I added a couple of snow hills w/ a little stickles across the tops.

Here are the Copics I used. I also used BG01 for the blue/green elements, but it somehow didn’t make it into the pic.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
