For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC741) we’re going to Shop The Manor. After window shopping for quite a while, I came across THIS lovely pillow.  I remembered I had an alcohol ink bg in my stash w/ similar colors so I went w/ the pillow for my inspiration. The bg was done w/ alcohol inks on Yupo paper. After dropping the colors, I spritzed it & also dropped some rubbing alcohol onto it to move the color around a little.

After coloring the daisies, I stamped the greeting then cut it w/ a lg tag die (using my out of the box technique on the left side). The tag die has a separate circle or square hole so you’re able to put it anywhere. I used it to not only cut the hole for the tag, but also cut all the little circles down the side. To make them stand out more, I die cut a bunch of these holes in white then used a 3/8″ circle punch to cut out the stitched hole left behind. These rings were attached on top of the circle cut outs in the colorful bg. A few of the punched out circles were added to the tag. Since the bg wasn’t a full card front size, I attached some stitched strips of white to frame it in & give it a more finished look.

Here are the Copics I used on the daisies.

It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge (FS671), so a big congrats to Lisa! She has a wonderful gallery & I was inspired by THIS card. I kept the snowman & colors but made mine into a trio of gift tags instead of a card. I used a few other images, as well.

I hope you’re ready for the holidays! I’m about 95% there. Almost all of my presents have been sent, almost all of the cards mailed & I was actually early getting the tree & decorations up. Since I don’t need any more Christmas cards, I thought a few Christmas tags would be helpful. I love Christmas tags & every year I vow to make some, but hardly ever have the time. I also love Prismacolor Pencils on kraft so I’m combining those two. Tags are little quicker to make than cards but like potato chips, you can never have just one. So I picked three images that would fit on the tags, stamped & colored w/ the Prismas, then added a little detail die cutting on the bottom edges. It’s easy & to me, dresses them up a bit. Plus there’s plenty of room on the backside to write To & From.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Welcome to August to the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club August Christmas Challenge! You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how. Bet you’re wondering what the challenge theme is..I’d love to tell you but you’ll have to go see for yourself.

I remembered an origami bow I made several years ago & thought I’d make another for this card. After I found the instructions, (the original site I used has disappeared, but HERE‘s another) I had to practice a bit to remember how it’s done. I stamped the Palm Bg using a Kaliedacolor greens ink pad all over a piece of lightweight card stock, measuring 4″ square. I’ll warn you, it’s harder to fold when you use anything heavier than 24lb paper. You can make these as big or as small as you’d like..you just need to start w/ a square. I used a fine tip red marker to add the berries on the stamped bg. Then I folded the bow. The present was die cut & I used an embossing folder that was half snowflakes, half dots w/ a blank strip in the center. The greeting tag & a die cut red berry branch finished it.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
