It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge (FS555) on Splitcoaststampers! So a big congrats to Beverly, the newest Featured Stamper! She has an amazing gallery & there are so many I wanted to pick. I finally decided on THIS card to case. I liked the color progression & angled image so I kept those, but I used different images, added an extra layer or two, & made mine a fall card.

For my farewell to summer card, I started by sponging on Distress oxide inks then I added a little splatter using a wet paintbrush. When it all dried (w/ a little help from the heat gun), I put it into my Misti &  stamped the branch a couple of times using the faded jeans oxide ink.  Then I determined where the greeting would go &  stamped it w/ the Versafine ink. I die cut the panel twice &  inserted a very narrow white layer between them. Then I inked the Silhouette Leaf  using multiple colors of the oxide ink, misted the stamp w/ water then stamped them onto a separate piece of white c/s. (The lighter leaf on the far right is actually a second generation stamping.) After these dried, I lined up the open leaf  image &  stamped it on top w/ the jeans ink then fussy cut them to add on top.

Here’s a look at the inside where I did the leaves the same way.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:

Stamps: DRS Designs – Goodbye SummerMed. Silhouette Leaf Open Leaf Spooky Tree Limb (inside- Changing Leaves )

For today’s Inspiration Challenge (IC616), I chose THIS lovely fall display on a pillow.

After I colored the Pumpkin Patch, I die cut the rust colored panel, first w/ a stitched rectangle, then a partial circle on the right side, and finally the bubble burst down the left. My panel seemed a little short, so I added a couple of stitched strips on top & bottom then did just a bit of out of the box on the sign part of the image.  A little white bow was added in the center of the bubble burst cut out.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Isn’t this Kites Reverse die wonderful? I love that it’s all one piece & does the partial swirls as well. I die cut it into the Recollections heavy wt c/s…although it says it’s 110# it’s way heavier than the other 110# c/s. I wanted to be able to pull up the swirls slightly w/o worrying about it bending or tearing. I had a watercolor bg I made ages ago w/ blues & greens & a little iridescent medium (very sparkly IRL) & I loved the colors but wasn’t crazy about the overall look of it. So just using bits & pieces behind the kites was the perfect solution. I backed it w/ a very fine, smooth glitter c/s & let it show thru around the edges & under the kite tails. All that was left was to stamp the greeting & add a few sequins.

Here’s a look at the inside using a few leftover glitter kite parts.

Next stop is Vickie‘s Blog!  Please be sure to comment on all the DT Blogs..it will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!
