For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC740) we have Stencil Girl Shop. They have some wonderful stencils, but it was a bit tough at first for me..I tend to be inspired by color first & it was all in black & white! So I headed over to the blog & found lots of color. THIS is my inspiration..the color bands reminded me of a rainbow, so that’s the direction I went.

I started by stamping & coloring the image, then used my into the window techinque to cut around the top, then inserted the stitched rainbow die behind it. I colored each rainbow strip then put them back behind the image. A little Wink of Stella gave them a nice sparkle.

Just to give it a finished edge, I added a narrow yellow strip at the bottom of the rainbow, then stamped the greeting.

Here are the Copics I used:

For the Color Challenge (CC728) on Splitcoast, the colors are clover green, gold & black. Perfect colors for a St. Patrick’s Day card.

For my card, I thought this cute little dancer would look good paired w/ the Hat Full of Shamrocks in the window behind her. After coloring the hat, I die cut a white & a green frame & cut a window in the top. The greetingShamrock Vine Corner images were stamped & the little Jazz Dancer was fussy cut & added on top. I used a gold glitter gel pen to add a little sparkle to the fringe on her skirt & shoes.

Here’s a look at the inside & I’m so sorry, but I somehow deleted or forgot to take the pic of the Copics I used. Must be those leprechauns up to shenanigans!

A big congrats to Carol, the newest Featured Stamper (FS577) on Splitcoast! She has a wonderful gallery & after much browsing, I chose THIS to case. I kept the layout & curvy border but I used different images, different colors & made mine a St. Patrick’s Day card.

For my Shenanigans Wreath, after stamping & coloring the Shamrock Circle, I stamped the Good Luck Circle inside, colored it & die cut it w/ a circle die. I didn’t want all the white space left on the inside of the wreath, so I fussy cut it & added a marigold layer behind it.

The lower edge was die cut & more of marigold added under it. On the cut off part, I stamped the Silhouette Shamrock Field  w/ the lt green ink & added just bit more darker green inside the petals. I added some wink of Stella on the wreath & it’s nice & sparkly in real life!

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
