For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC740) we have Stencil Girl Shop. They have some wonderful stencils, but it was a bit tough at first for me..I tend to be inspired by color first & it was all in black & white! So I headed over to the blog & found lots of color. THIS is my inspiration..the color bands reminded me of a rainbow, so that’s the direction I went.
I started by stamping & coloring the image, then used my into the window techinque to cut around the top, then inserted the stitched rainbow die behind it. I colored each rainbow strip then put them back behind the image. A little Wink of Stella gave them a nice sparkle.
Just to give it a finished edge, I added a narrow yellow strip at the bottom of the rainbow, then stamped the greeting.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Seems I’ve been making a lot of rainbow/umbrella/rain cards lately! But I love umbrellas and the challenge today on the Ways to Use It Challenge (WT526) is April Showers..so I wanted to play. Today I’m using a new greeting & one of the cutest (in my opinion) umbrella images around. Both are from DRS Designs. After coloring & fussy cutting 2 umbrellas (one to pop up on top), I took a piece of white card stock and cut a bunch of bands using large & small petite oval dies then colored them individually w/ Copics. After putting them back together, I added a white layer w/ a circle cut out on top and added the greeting & some raindrops.
I added the umbrella and some stickles on the raindrops and where the bands of the rainbow come together. For the frame, I took the piece I cut the white layer out of, colored it to match my rainbow then put it back around the white layer. Here are the Copics I used and it took about a jillion of them!
Here’s a look at the inside.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs 5th Anniversary Release Hop! Each year, Kelley allows each of her design team members to submit a Scripture Verse, a sentiment or a quote, and those submissions are made into the Anniversary sets. Today’s hop will show most of those submissions, and we truly hope you love them as much as we do!
Since it mentions Rainbows, I used 4 colors of ink to stamp my sentiment and also the Elegant Oval image. I used a piece of designer paper and cut around the clouds at the top and bottom. The diagonal check patter on these corners is the reverse side of the paper I cut off. I liked it, so I turned it to this side and put it back. A few punched clouds and a rainbow of gems in graduated sizes were added after I attached everything to a coral layer. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.
This is also for the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast today (IC380) and I chose this Flying Kites fabric.
