I made this for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club August Christmas Challenge! I’ve been having so much fun being a part of the challenge this year & the bonus is I’ll have a bunch of Christmas cards finished in plenty of time for Christmas this year. You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how.

To make my card, I put the X-Press It paper into my Misti, stamped the Polar Bears & colored them w/ Copics. I masked them, then stamped the 2 step Watercolor Forest w/ the Memento summer sky & bamboo leaves behind the bears. I used a torn piece of paper to lightly sponge in the snow using the Distress tumbled glass ink. To die cut the panel, I first used the largest of the stitched rectangles dies to cut the entire scene, then used a die 2 sizes smaller to cut the center. Both were attached to slightly larger layers of red glitter paper before attaching to the card. I also added a thin layer of fun foam behind the center panel to raise it up a tad. Stickles was added to the snow & trees.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Congrats to Jenny, the newest Featured Stamper (FS599) on Splitcoast! She has such a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS to case. I kept the sunset bg w/ a silhouette image but I used different images, a corvette instead of a crane in the foreground & changed it from vertical to horizontal.

To make my Ocean Drive card, I painted watercolors onto the solid background image & stamped it onto white card stock. After I dried it, I placed it in my Misti & stamped the silhouette palms (several times) using VersaClair ink then added white highlights w/ a gel pen. I drew a few seagulls w/ a Copic multiliner pen.The white frame was  die cut & stamped with the Happy Birthday squiggle frame. The corvette was stamped, colored & die cut w/ the matching die. I made the corvette yellow because my dad used to have a yellow corvette & he loved it! Personally, I preferred the Mustang convertible he had before that, lol.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used on the corvette.

For the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast this week, I was inspired by THIS picture on the Plow & Hearth site Brenda chose. I turned the rain boots into cowboy boots & hydrangeas into roses, but otherwise they are the same, lol.

What a week it’s been around here..we’ve had so much rain & thunderstorms, I’m really glad now that I bought a pair of rubber rain boots. Every night I have to slosh thru the front yard to bring in the bird feeders. If I don’t, then I have to spend a couple of hours searching thru the woods for them because the raccoons will get them & drag them off into the woods (ask me how I know). Then I slosh thru the yard every morning to put them back. I also don’t want the bear that got into everyone’s trash a couple of week ago to come down the drive after the feeders. But my rain boots, while they have roses on them, are nowhere as stylin’ as these!

To make my card, I stamped the big rose, masked it, then stamped the smaller one twice. After masking the roses, I stamped the (new!) boot, masked it, then stamped the one behind it. Everything was colored, then I did a little out of the box when I die cut the panel. The greeting was stamped & colored & I added a die cut swirly (it reminded me of a lasso) & a fussy cut hat (new!). Then I added glitter glue & a few crystals.
