Welcome to April & to the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club April Christmas Challenge! I’m part of the challenge team again this year & the bonus is I’ll have a bunch of Christmas cards finished in plenty of time for Christmas this year. You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how. Bet you’re wondering what the challenge theme is..I’d love to tell you but you’ll have to go see for yourself.

For my Christmas Wishes card, I used an embossing folder on the white bg, then paper pieced some strips for a faux woven bg. I used part of a box of Christmas cards I bought that are supposed to have a picture inserted so the entire back is 5×7 piece of this heavy weight Christmas print w/ little red foil accents. After I glued them, I embossed it all again.  The rest was just die cutting the holly out of green glitter card, the Wishes & backing oval out of red glitter card, then attaching a red foil frame over the bg.

Here’s the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Congrats to the newest Featured Stamper on Splitcoast (FS634)! I chose THIS to case. I kept the layout & the greeting in the center, but I used a different greeting & made my background instead of using designer paper.
I stamped the pretty feathers, colored them & fussy cut them. The  greeting was stamped on a fancy label & attached to a larger, dk green panel. For the bg, I brayered the inside of a feather embossing folder then embossed a piece of a white card stock. I actually did both sides..the other side was mostly white w/ colored feathers. I liked this side better, so there you go.

Here’s a look at the inside.

We have a guest host for the Inspiration Challenge today…& I know you’ll recognize her. SmilynStef is our host & she’s chosen a fun site…SNURK. I was immediately drawn to THIS picture & chose it for my inspiration.

For my birthday card,  I die cut the 2 part leaves then sponged the open parts with the mowed lawn & pine needle inks. The solid piece underneath, was sponged with the citron, pistachio & evergreen colors.  I sponged the die cut wishes the same way.

Here’s a look at the inside. I also included another picture below this showing what I used for this frame. I had a piece of  copy paper under the leaves when I sponged them & it left this wonderful sheet of color. I folded it in half & glued it together, then die cut the frames.
