Today’s Clean & Simple Challenge (CAS344) is all about apples. I started to use an apple trio image but when I spied this candle apple image, I chose it instead.
After stamping & coloring, I over stamped w/ Versafine, added the greeting then die cut w/ a pierced rectangle die. The leftover frame was die cut w/ a matting basic die, to even the edges, & it was embossed w/ the apple folder. The leaf was inked w/ the Distress inks, stamped, the matching outline leaf was stamped on top w/ the sepia ink & fussy cut.
These are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today we’re taking another look at the Our Daily Bread designs Mid September Release! Don’t you love the flower images & fabulous flower & border dies? I know I do!
My card today is all about the dies & mostly black & white with just a touch of pale aqua in the flowers & large background. A long while back, I made some backgrounds on black card stock by placing some drywall mesh across it (it’s sticky on the back side, like magic mesh), then brayering over it using white acrylic paint. I used one of these for my middle layer & for the leaves & flower centers. I used one of the Leafy Edged Border dies to divide the white panel & add a little interest.
The flowers were all die cut out of white, shaped a little, then the centers sponged with tumbled glass Distress ink. The greeting was die cut out of the Chalkboard paper collection & the largest background is from the Shabby Rose paper collection. Here’s a look at the inside.

For today’s Ways to Use It Challenge (WT550), it’s all about Punctuation! My greeting has 2 punctuation marks: the apostrophe & the question mark.
This is a pretty quick card, too, especially since I came across the mummy image all colored & cut out…must have been a leftover that didn’t get used..or else the stamp fairy visited during the night. Either way, lucky for me! After stamping the graveyard, greeting & RIP tombstone with white pigment ink on black card stock, I added a white frame, a punched moon (that already had the colors on it, yay!), part of a die cut white tree & clouds (more stash finds!)
To finish it, I die cut 2 rectangles out of kraft then cut off the top corners, stamped the versatile background w/ corduroy ink, stamped the RIP & drew the frame w/ a brown marker & I had a coffin for my mummy. Here’s a look at the inside.
