A big congrats to Kristine, the newest Featured Stamper (FS791) on Splitcoast. She has a beautiful gallery & after much browsing, I chose THIS to case. I kept the cute dog theme but ended up changing most everything else. I used different stamps, dies & colors & used fewer layers w/ no designer paper.

After coloring the cute dog couple, I die cut them along w/ a few extra blanks in order to pop them up a bit. The kraft bg was stamped w/ a cheesecloth bg & cinnamon ink. I wanted a narrow, dk brown layer behind the dogs, but didn’t have the right color so I used a Copic marker to color just around the edges that would show before attaching it. The outline heart was also colored w/ Copics & I used a clear glaze pen to add some shine & dimension to the tiny hearts above the greeting & also the dogs’ eyes.

These are the Copics I used:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

We have a wonderful Pinterest Board & Kia as a guest hostess for the Inspiration Challenge this week! So many lovely table settings & after much browsing, I chose THIS as my inspiration because I loved the flowers on top of the stripes.

After coloring the poppy bouquet, I colored an extra image & cut out the center 3 flowers & popped them up, rotated 45 degrees on the base image. The base layer was die cut w/ the center border & I added a coordinating border underneath it before attaching it to the green stripe paper. I couldn’t find any black & white stripe paper that I liked, but this green stripe fit the colors really well (it’s from an older box of blank Christmas cards!).

Here are the Copics I used:

It’s my pleasure to host the Inspiration Challenge (IC722) at Splitcoast!  I chose a lovely site, Lulu & Georgia. They have some lovely things & I chose THIS for my inspiration. I really liked the pink & gold combo w/ the little flowers & birds.

After I found some pink & gold paper, I die cut the flower branch, birds, square frame & love out of mirror gold card stock. I wanted a solid pink behind the branch & birds so they wouldn’t get lost in the pattern of the paper, but all I could find in the same pink color was a good sized paint chip. It was just big enough to fill in behind the gold frame.

A few extra die cut flowers were added & I double stacked the greeting to give it a little dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
