This is another for today’s IC521 Challenge. I don’t make near enough tags & I was inspired by THESE cute tags Sabrina made. And since I used scraps & leftovers, they were very quick to make.
I stamped the images on kraft after I die cut the tag shape and used a combination of Copics to color & a white Prismacolor pencil to highlight. Then I overstamped w/ Versafine before taking them out my Misti. I had the little snippets of white trim so I matched up the bottoms of the tags & cut them to insert the white trims. The twine was added along w/ a little dimensional snow type stuff on the Santa hats.
These are the Copics I used on the individual tags.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: DRS Designs – Billboard Leonard, Christmas Leonard, Leonard’s Christmas List, Gift Tag Greetings |
Paper: white, 2 different shades of kraft |
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Versafine onyx (to overstamp after coloring). |
Accessories: Copic markers, Spellbinders bracket border, scallop border & curved border dies, Misti, white Prismacolor pencil, dimensional snow paint, baker’s twine, ODBD tag die (retired) |
For the Inspiration Challenge (IC521), we are to use a forgotten favorite we have saved. I admit, I had forgotten about the favorite feature on Splitcoast, so my Favorite List is very slim. I did have THIS one from way back & I love the candles so that’s what I picked for my card.
Instead of a stamp, I used a Christmas Candle die & attached it to a white frame w/ designer paper behind it. The center & right candles just have the dp showing thru, but since the left candle is partly on the frame, I added a piece of dp behind it. I added more of the holly on the upper left & also added some inlay pieces to all the the holly leaves. The Merry Christmas was die cut 3 times & stacked so it would sit up higher on top.
Here’s a look at the inside.

Since my greeting is big & mentions sparkle, I made it the main focus & everything on the card is super sparkly! The greeting could really be used any time of year, but I made mine a Christmas card by adding the embossed ornament background & the ornaments & greeting on the inside. I was lucky enough to have some glittery embossing powder that matched exactly the very glittery card stock I used for the backing layers & bow on top & all the stamped images were heat embossed using it.
Here’s the inside. These ornaments were originally intended for the front, but it started looking crowded so I put them on the inside.
Supplies:
Stamps: Serendipity Stamps – Leave a Little Sparkle, Ornament Background, (inside – Have Yourself, Ornament Pops Outline, Ornament Pops Solid ) |
