A big congrats to Alex, the newest Featured Stamper (FS447) on Splitcoast! What a fun gallery! I chose THIS to case. I kept the Santa & Ho Ho Ho, but I used a Santa image instead of punches & die cuts for my HO x3.
I stamped, colored & fussy cut the little Santa & attached him to a black die cut circle. I die cut the H & o 6 times and stacked 3 on 3 for dimension. The white frame w/ oval cut out was a leftover & since I was hurrying, I used it. I attached them & added thin black strips so they would look like they are hanging. For the narrow background, I stamped the Ho, ho, ho greeting randomly & colored them. Some sequins for sparkle were added at the end. These are the Copics I used for Santa.
Congrats again, Alex! Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Free For All Challenge (F4A288) on Splitcoast wants us to use something Gold. So I made a black & gold anniversary card using a really pretty Fleur de Lis image. It just looks elegant to me so that’s the direction I went. I black embossed it onto a light metallic gold card stock and fussy cut it. I used a metallic gold Sharpie to add a little bit of shading to the image. It was added to a black die cut oval and another gold fancy die cut layer.
The black background was made by spritzing a Fleur de Lis embossing folder w/ gold shimmer spray then placing the black card stock inside & embossing. It’s so hard for the camera to capture, but all the specks are actually shimmery gold and very pretty in real life! The greeting was gold embossed & I fussy cut it into a flag shape to attach on top.
Here’s the inside using the leftover narrow frame and another fleur de lis I didn’t use on the front.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out the DRS Thursday Challenge…Feeling Sentimental (make the greeting a main focus). DRS images are not required & there’s a nice prize up for grabs!

Welcome to the North Coast Creations August Release! And wow, do we have some super cute images & fabulous dies to go with them! You’re going to flip over these!
On my first card, I wanted a night time look, since owls are mostly nocturnal, so I started with a piece of textured navy card stock. The owls & branches were stamped first with Memento, colored with Copics, over stamped with Versafine, then die cut with the matching dies. I used a series of circle dies to cut out the circle for the “moon” and the white ring around it. The moon, the Flourished Vine, Happy Birthday & largest yellow layer were sponged because I didn’t have the color of yellow I wanted.
Here’s a look at the inside & also the Copics I used.

My next card has the entire, cute as can be, owl family again.
After stamping, coloring & die cutting as before, I thought they would look cute if I had them in their “rooms” in the trees. So I stamped the ODBD Birch Tree Bg on white, added just a hint of color, then die cut the holes & added rings around them to help set them apart.
After adding a black layer behind the birches, I put my owls in the holes then added a finely corrugated tan layer. Three tree limbs were stamped, die cut & attached vertically. The greeting was die cut twice, stacked together for dimension and added to a tan die cut oval.
Here’s a look at the inside & the Copics I used.
