The Free For All Challenge (F4A288) on Splitcoast wants us to use something Gold. So I made a black & gold anniversary card using a really pretty Fleur de Lis image. It just looks elegant to me so that’s the direction I went. I black embossed it onto a light metallic gold card stock and fussy cut it. I used a metallic gold Sharpie to add a little bit of shading to the image. It was added to a black die cut oval and another gold fancy die cut layer.
The black background was made by spritzing a Fleur de Lis embossing folder w/ gold shimmer spray then placing the black card stock inside & embossing. It’s so hard for the camera to capture, but all the specks are actually shimmery gold and very pretty in real life! The greeting was gold embossed & I fussy cut it into a flag shape to attach on top.
Here’s the inside using the leftover narrow frame and another fleur de lis I didn’t use on the front.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out the DRS Thursday Challenge…Feeling Sentimental (make the greeting a main focus). DRS images are not required & there’s a nice prize up for grabs!
