Knit Happens! Yes m’am,  it does…and if you like to have some wine while you knit..well..it won’t be pretty. Just sayin’. Anyway, these are the colors for today’s Color Challenge (CC624) on Splitcoast. Daffodil, garden green & blackberry. And it seems I have a slight aversion to the blackberry. It’s an odd color, hard to work with & harder to match. The only think that came to mind was this cute little digi & I figured I’d delegate the troublesome color to the ground area.
After printing it out, I colored it then die cut it. The dk purple bg (closest I could come to the blackberry color) was embossed w/ a knit pattern folder & it was pretty much done.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used. This is going to one of my knitty friends who also happens to like my cards 😛

Welcome to the North Coast Creations February Release! Just in time for Easter! We have some adorable images & a matching die for this sweet little chick.
To make my little Chickie Easter card, after stamping & die cutting the sweet chick, I die cut a white panel first w/ the largest pierced rectangle die then I used a double stitched square to cut out the opening. I came across a white pegboard die cut from ages ago & thought it looked good behind the opening. A blue stripe paper was added behind it then the chick, greeting, some clouds, the sun & some grass were added to fill in the spring scene. I used a Copic marker to add some darker green streaks to the pale green grass & after die cutting it, I used a smaller pierced rectangle to add the piercing along the bottom & sides of the grass.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

My second card features this modern Easter Egg frame image & eggs. I knew I wanted to go w/ a pink/purple palette and when I came across the Chalkboard Vine emboss resist bg already done in these colors, I used it for my large background.
After stamping the oval egg frame w/ the grape ink, I colored it, die cut it w/ a large oval then added some stickles. The greeting part was colored, die cut & added to a pierced purple oval layer. The fussy cut eggs where added in the lower corner.

Here are the Copics I used.

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper (FS525) challenge on Splitcoast. I chose Karen, aka redbugdriver, so a big Congrats to Karen! After much browsing, I picked this & this to case…combining elements of both for my card. I kept the cute little girl & layout from the first & the big heart & color from the second. But I used different images & different die cuts.

This cute little ballerina kind of reminds me of when my mom put me in ballet class. Except my tutu for the recital was green & orange…and the glittery fabric was itchy as all get out. My regular practice tights & leotard were pink like this little cutie; but we didn’t wear tutus for practice, thank goodness. Apparently I was a bit hyper. Mom also made me take tap, jazz &  acrobatics. Pretty much a full boat of dance classes.

My little pink ballerina was colored & fussy cut. On the front of the white panel, I die cut a big fancy heart then stamped the greeting off to the left & the feet of the ballerina on the right then attached my cutie on top.

Here’s a look at the inside. I put together 2 greetings for this. Below it are the Copics I used.
