BEST OF 2013!
Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread designs December Release. Don’t you love these fabulous frames and matching dies? And there are so many wonderful greetings for so many occasions.
For my colorful card, I decided to use the corner image to make a sort of kaleidoscope type design. I used a stamp positioner to make the central 4 square image and to match it up on the corners.I colored everything with Copics and die cut w/ a large square. I used the beautiful corner dies in blue to frame the square and the insides were trimmed off and used to frame the sentiment. A black micron pen was used to make the little dots around the design. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Merry Christmas!

The only tricky part about this card was the framed window. And it was really only a little tricky because I resized the opening. First, I temporarily attached the white layer on top of the red layer then I used the smaller of 2 Quickutz long rectangles to cut the opening thru both layers. Per the resizing tutorial (just click on the word above) I made it half again longer. Then I took the two layers apart and used the next larger rectangle to make the window larger on the white layer (again resizing it).
Since the focus is on the sentiment, I stamped the winter scene in black and left it uncolored. The greeting was stamped with red ink, except for the holly flourish on top. I wiped the red ink off and inked that part w/ black then added some color and a little stickles. I also added some stickles in areas on the scene. The bottom edges were cut with bracket border dies and the finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.

A big CONGRATS to Gayatri (Scrapawayg3), the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast (FS326)! What a wonderful little gallery she has and I chose her Just for You to case. I kept the layout, tag and lots of white space, but I used different images, different colors and added a few gems.
The images are from North Coast Creations, and are from a set called Crave the Rose. I stamped the large rose image across the front of my panel and a few extra on a scrap of white. After coloring w/ Copics, I cut out a few of the extras and stamped the quote on another piece of white. I used an ODBD/Spellbinders tag die to die cut it, but I lengthened it a bit using the Nestie Resizing Technique. I added a few gems in different colors and sizes for a little more visual interest. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.
Congrats again, Gayatri, enjoy your week! Thanks so much for stopping by!
