A big congrats to Pat, the newest Featured Stamper (FS826) on Splitcoast. She has a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout w/ the split panel, but used different dies, slightly different colors & instead of a split negative I elected to add a gray shadow layer under the white on the white panel.
On my card, I used a piece of dk grey designer paper w/ little images instead of the black panel Pat used. I die cut the tree & snow out of white then added a grey shadow layer under the white on the white side panel. The random dots were stamped w/ a lt grey ink & I added a cardinal & 2 ornaments on the tree. The die cut Joy was added above the rest of the stamped greeting. all in all, a fairly quick CAS Christmas card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

A big congrats to Sarah, the newest Featured Stamper (FS824) on Splitcoast. She has fun gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the bird & Christmas theme, but I used different images, dies & paper, moved the greeting & made mine a mini slimline.
My little owl, all tangled up in the Christmas lights, was colored & die cut. I used foam to pop him up a bit. I cut my papers on an angle, but not as steep an angle as Sarah did. My greeting was too big to fit under the angled edge, so I moved it to the bottom & added some sequins.
Here are the Copics I used:

A big congrats to the newest Featured Stamper (FS823), 4littlekittens! She has a fun gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the cardinal as main focus & die cut word in the greeting, but I used dies for the majority of my card, different colors & changed the layout.
On my cardinal Christmas card, I die cut the cardinal pair, birdhouse, oval ring & the Joy part of the greeting. I stamped the rest of the greeting on a narrow strip. On the cardinals, I used some red and grey inks to sponge some areas and add a little color and depth to the birds. The Joy, cardinals, birdhouse and oval ring are all popped up for dimension.
