For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC820), we’re headed to Nordic Wall Decor & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS group of pictures.

Everything on my card was die cut & the bg was done using 2 stencils. I put all the van pieces together, added the waves, seagulls & palm trees. The palms were lightly scored w/ a piercing tool to give them some detail & I sponged a large circle w/ the same Color Fuse inks I used on the sun rays & added it on top.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A big congrats to Jacqui, the newest Splitcoast Featured Stamper (FS748)! She has a fun gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the slimline layout & triple image arrangement. But I used different images, dies & colors.

All of the pirate/sea creatures were colored & die cut. The white panel was die cut & I cut a slightly larger cobalt blue panel & used a slightly smaller circle die to cut out the insides of the circles. I put the octopus inside a die cut submarine & added a palm tree on the right & just a hint of waves across the bottoms of the triple “portholes”.

Here are the Copics I used (I colored the whole pirate set, so there are a bunch!).

Thanks so much for stopping by!

It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge (FS747) this week & a big congrats to Diane! She has a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the palm trees & birthday theme, but I used different images & dies, left off a layer & skipped the embossing.

For my beachy bday card, I die cut the smaller white panel, then used a large reverse circle mask that left the area w/ the sun open so I could sponge the yellows & orange inks to create my sun. The waves were die cut out of a couple of colors of blue, the palms trees out of brown w/ the fronds from some different scraps of green, then they were pieced together. I hand cut a small island out of the brown to ground the trees  then added the 3 seagulls. To add a little texture to the palm fronds, I took a piercing tool & creased the lines on them. I did the same to the trunks of the trees.
