I made this for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club December Christmas Challenge! I’ve been having so much fun being a part of the challenge this year & the bonus is I’ll have a bunch of Christmas cards finished in plenty of time for Christmas this year. You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how. Since I had a little trouble w/ this month’s theme, I was helped out by the Inspiration Challeng (IC678)  & THIS is the picture that inspired me.

For my card, I used only the wine glass image of the set & I used a black & gray Tombow markers to ink it. I used gray on the outlines that would be behind other glasses & black on the rest to stamp them. I didn’t bother masking since they were clear glass & are supposed to show through each other. After doing this 7 times, I added a little color w/ Copics to the glasses then stamped half of the greeting above them. I die cut a circle out of the top layer, then added a circle frame over the opening. The rest of the greeting, a single wine glass & a sprig of holly were stamped on this layer. For embellishment, I added a die cut & colored holly & used some clear dimensional glitter paint around the circle frame. You can’t really see it, but I also added some Wink of Stella to the wine in the glasses & on the holly leaves & berries.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

It’s my turn to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC678) & I chose Joss & Main for the site. They have some fab Holiday decorations & ideas. I was inspired by THIS set of canapé plates. I really love the winter images & plaid.

After stamping & coloring my holiday snowman, I stamped the plaid background onto light red cardstock w/ black ink then used a few darker red Copics to add a little tone variation. I die cut both panels then used a curved border die to cut the bottom of the snowman panel. A couple of die cut buttons were added w/ a little glossy dimensional glaze added on top of them. The greeting was a little too large, so I stamped it w/ Stazon on the front of a piece of shrink plastic, die cut it w/ a circle die & most importantly, punched the hole at the top before shrinking it w/ a heat gun. I used a G02 to color the backside before I shrunk it. It was barely even noticeable but look how much darker it became when shrunk. A little Stickles was added to the snow & icicles.

Such a wonderful site for the Inspiration Challenge (IC677) this week! After much browsing, I chose THIS for my inspiration. I really like the half tree in the red frame.

I stamped my tree at the edge of the white card stock, colored it then added a larger white bg & red stitched frame on top. The presents were stamped separately & fussy cut. I used a tag die for the partial greeting, die cutting it halfway then turning the die around to cut the right half like the left. I really like this tag die set, the holes for it (1 round & 1 square) are separate so I can put it anywhere on the tag.

Here’s a look at the inside (with the rest of the greeting) & also the Copic I used.
