For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC766), we are headed to Allen Designs Studio & after much browsing, I chose THIS for my inspiration.
My card features these cute little bees & sunflowers on a Slimline card. I’m really loving these new dies! After I die cut the white front & all the flowers & bees, I put them together. For the background, I found a leftover piece of mixed media I made, who knows how long ago, using metallic acrylic paints. I liked the colors so I die cut circles bigger than the openings (to show thru the little dots surrounding the circles), then cut them again w/ smaller circles. I used a honeycomb die on the smaller circles, then put them back inside, leaving out a few of the hexagons.

It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC752) this week & we’re headed to the Canva Pinterest Boards. They have a website, but their Pinterest Boards are a lot more user friendly. I was inspired by THIS picture. I really loved the bright colors!
For my card, I white embossed the squiggly frame & greeting. I used a set of scallop circle dies for my wreath & added the die cut flowers on either side. Since I didn’t have a bird large enough, I used a stacked butterfly. The orange strip was fan folded & stretched across. These bright happy colors remind me of a Cinco de Mayo parade & I marched in a lot of those during my years in the school marching band.

A big Congrats to Monique, the newest Featured Stamper (FS680) on Splitcoast! She has a fabulous gallery & it was hard to pick, but I finally decided on THIS card to case. I kept the blue flowers theme & intricate bg cut out, but I used different images & dies & left off a few layers.
After coloring the blue daisies, I die cut them w/ a rounded stitched rectangle die. I used my out of the box die cutting technique to keep from cutting off the petals on the left side. On the white bg, I die cut the left side w/ a circle lattice die & added just a few of the centers back in then backed it w/ navy blue. The butterfly was colored w/ the same colors & die cut w/ its matching die & I split the greeting..white embossing half on navy & stamping the rest on the white bg. I used a word window punch on the “Happy” part.
Here are the Copics I used. (I also used a few Prismacolor Pencils in similar colors on top.)
