Welcome to October! And it’s time for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club October Christmas Challenge! We have a year of new Christmas Challenges! You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how. Bet you’re wondering what the challenge theme is..I’d love to tell you but you’ll have to go see for yourself. Hint..I’m really loving the new theme for this year.
For my cute gnome card, I colored & die cut the gnome & stamped the box onto another piece & colored it. I decided to cut a slit in the box to insert the gnome rather than masking & stamping the gnome inside the box. Here are a couple of pics showing the process.
I used a craft knife to cut along the lines on the top of the box.
You can see the opening I created.
The gnome is now inside the box!
On the rectangle on the right, I stamped the snowflakes w/ silver ink & heat embossed w/ a clear, sparkly powder. Both rectangles were backed by narrow layers of red & green. The clear star gems were added & I used a red Copic to color the center one.
Here are the Copics I used:

A big congrats to Debby, the newest Featured Stamper (FS764)! She has a beautiful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the gnome & horizontal layout but used different images & dies & changed it from a Halloween card to an autumn card. I also left off the glitter & bling.
On my card, I used a brand new set of Christmas gnomes & stamped, colored & die cut the cute gnome. Instead of Christmas, I colored him in fall colors & stamped the word FALL on his sign. The pumpkin set is also just released & I die cut the smallest pumpkin out of scrap paper to use as a mask after I stamped it on my bg, then stamped the largest pumpkin behind it. Several of the falling leaves were stamped directly on the bg & a couple more were die cut & popped up a bit. The gnome & his sign were also elevated w/ foam. On the rust bg, I used a wood grain stencil & pumpkin ink. It’s a little more pronounced in real life & adds a tone on tone color to it.

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC825) we’re headed to Perfectly Posh Boutique & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS picture for my inspiration.
My card started w/ die cutting the pieces for the truck & pumpkins then paper piecing them together. To make it appear that the pumpkins were in the bed of the truck, I attached them to the back side of the lower section of the truck then attached the top of the truck under the pumpkins. On the kraft colored background I used the 2 part plaid stencil & a combo of the two blue Distress inks. The color is much closer to the truck in real life.
