Best Roses

Today I have an almost all occasion card. Birthday, graduation, congrats or wedding would all fit the bill. And it’s easy to make. Only takes 1 stencil, 3 dies & some red and green inks or any colors you prefer. I chose red & green because I like the high contrast with the black.

A big congrats to Dani, the newest Featured Stamper Challenge FS1001! She has a lovely gallery & I chose THIS coaster to case. I kept the roses theme w/ the black accents but I used a die, inks, a stencil & made mine a card instead of a coaster.

For my card, I die cut the roses out of black. I placed the outline on top of a piece of white in order to get the approximate areas I needed to blend w/ the reds. Then I placed the die on top of this piece & embossed it to show where the design would be. I covered the back of this w/ tape then die cut it. This held all the little pieces in place so I didn’t have to piece all of them. I die cut another out of black cardboard & attached it behind my main one. The background was a piece of white I accidentally cut too narrow for a card front (it’s only 3.25″ instead of 4.25″) so I placed the stencil on top & used the green inks, going from dark on the left to lighter on the right. I liked it backed w/ the black & a little to one side. The greeting was die cut & attached to 2 tags.

Thanks so much
for stopping by!
