A card for all your knitting or crocheting friends! This new set is literally a ball! There are even more images and greetings to use and all come with coordinating dies. How cool is that? And the ticking background gives a wonderful pattern. It’s also a good to show off your own knit or crochet skills by adding a little yarn element or two.

For the Inspiration Challenge IC1062, we are visiting Muji and their Pinterest Boards where I was inspired by THIS pillow.

The making of this card went quickly, thanks to the matching dies. The knitting of the leaf & flower took a little longer. Mainly because I had to find a couple of patterns & secondly because I didn’t have the right color of crochet thread. As you’ll notice in the picture with the Copic colors I used, I started with a white leaf, but wasn’t really happy with it. So I used a different pattern (here’s a link for the leaf, it’s a free pattern) & I used the green inks to swipe over the crochet thread before I knit with it. I did the same for the flower, using the pinks (here’s a link for the flower, also free). I used the size 10 crochet thread & size 2 (2.75mm) needles. I’ll warn you, it’s a little like knitting w/ toothpicks, if you’ve never worked with small needles & thread. I used the ticking background with the Mist ink on white & also on a pale green frame I cut using a rectangle die. Then all the items were arranged on top w/ the knitted flower & leaf added last. (Next time I’ll take a little more time to make the flowers but I was in a hurry!)

Here are the Copics I used:

Thanks so much for stopping by!
