For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC806), we’re headed to a watercolor Pinterest Board where I found THIS lovely portrait. I don’t have a child’s face image so I used Jacqueline, instead.

I put a piece of watercolor paper into my Misti & stamped her w/ Morning Mist versaclair ink..it’s a dk grey so it’s not as high contrast as black. I used some soft teal & soft peach watercolors & a lot of water to paint the panel. I didn’t even mix the color..it was some that was left over in my palette & I liked the colors. When it dried, I stamped the greeting across the left bottom corner & used a pen to add the XOXO. In my head, I saw it as a stylized glamor portrait that the sender would autograph.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A big congrats to Shelly, the newest Featured Stamper (FS681) on Splitcoast! She has a big, beautiful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I liked the cutout image on top of the stenciled bg so I kept those. But I used different images, different colors & a different stencil.

After stenciling the bg w/ the distress inks, I colored & fussy cut the lovely Laura image. She was attached on top of the greeting panel & that was pretty much it.

Here are the Copics I used: BG’s for shirt. E’s & R’s for skin & lips. YR for eyes.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A big congrats to Angie, the newest Featured Stamper (FS677) on Splitcoast! So many lovely cards to view & after much browsing, I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout, lady & flower, but used different images & dies, different colors & moved the greeting.

After coloring the lovely Jacqueline image & the flowers, I fussy cut the flowers & used a craft knife to cut along the back of Jacqueline to insert the edge of the flowers under her. (If you cut right on the black line, it’s virtually invisible.)  I resized my top panel to narrow it & used markers to color in the hexagon strip I added on the left.

Here are the Copics I used for Jacqueline & I also used a Prismacolor overlay:

And these are the Copics I used on the flowers:
