Welcome to March & to the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club March Christmas Challenge! I’m part of the challenge team again this year & the bonus is I’ll have a bunch of Christmas cards finished in plenty of time for Christmas this year. You’ll need to be Fan Club member but that’s easy…just click the blue link to find out how. Bet you’re wondering what the challenge theme is..I’d love to tell you but you’ll have to go see for yourself.

For my card, I used this cute little Reindeer image. After coloring & die cutting w/ the matching die, I put him on a tag die cut. I cut another tag out of white glitter & split it down the middle to have some show on either side. The Merry was die cut out of red glitter paper. I die cut two bows &  split the striped one to edge the white glitter one.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Sketch Challenge (SC562) on Splitcoast seemed perfect for this little reindeer. I put him in my Misti, stamped w/ Memento, colored him w/ Copics then over stamped w/ Versafine. I masked his antlers & stamped the ornament & branch above him the same way I did Rudolph.
NCC Merry Rudolph 07603
In order to die cut the image, I had to do a little out of the box to keep from cutting off the ornament. I added a black/white Christmas print behind him & also behind the 2 background panels. The greeting was originally on two lines so I used a stamp positioner to move it all onto 1 line to fit the sketch. The white bg was embossed w/ a Christmas knit folder that I edged w/ a black marker before I embossed it.

Here’s a look at the inside using some dp scraps & below it are the Copics I used.

Aren’t these little Caroling Penguins adorable? And they were so much fun to color! After putting them in my Misti & stamping w/ Memento, I colored them then over stamped them w/ Versafine. They were die cut w/ the largest Circle Ornament die, I added a little color around the edge then attached them to the glitter circle that was die cut w/ the largest Matting Circle die. I also used the glitter card stock for the background (cut w/ the ODBD Flourished Star Pattern die), the Flourished Vine & the ornament topper & the Wishes part of the Best Wishes die. The designer paper top & bottom (from the ODBD Christmas 2014 collection) was die cut using the ODBD Leafy Edges Borders dies. Just a note here: you are now able to purchase BOTH NCC & ODBD items in one place & not have to pay 2 shipping charges! How fabulous is that?!?

My second card features this cute little reindeer from the Merry & Bright set. Most of the DT got a chuckle with this one…they saw him as having a snowflake me it looked like he had a jumper w/ a snowflake on it. Either way..he’s a cutie! NCC Reindeer 07356
I stamped & colored him as before, then over stamped & die cut w/ the largest Stitched Oval die. The tips of his antlers got a little out of the box treatment to keep from cutting them off.  I also used a gold gel pen to add some sparkle to the gold beads on the image before I attached him to a larger layer I die cut w/ the Oval dieThis layer & the rest of the card front were done using papers from the ODBD Christmas 2015 collection.  The little white shaped pieces above & below the main image are the largest die from the Antique Labels die.

Here’s a look at the inside where I used some left over paper & stamped the sleigh (from Santa’s Sleigh) in pear tart. Below it are the Copics I used.
