The weather is warmer, flowers are blooming and it’s a perfect time to sit in the garden. So many plants are blooming here and I wanted to try and capture that in my card. To me, it looks like a wonderful place to sit and drink in all the colors. This isn’t a hard card to make, so let me show how I did it.
It’s my turn to host the Inspiration Challenge & we’re visiting Art.com & their Pinterest Board. They have everything artsy you can imagine, so something to please everyone. I was inspired by THIS little garden scene.
To make my card, I die cut the chairs out of cobalt & turquoise then mix-matched them. I used the same blue for the awning, the tall pot and the narrow backing layer. The grass is two shades of green & the flowers are a mix of yellow, lt pink, dk pink & lt red. I die cut the white background first, then attached the darker green grass stri, leaving the very center unglued so I could slip in the white planter of tulips behind it.. I placed it back into the stitched rectangle die & recut so the grass would be even. I put together the awning & popped only the top part up (not the supports). The lighter green grass was attached behind the awning supports then the 2 chairs were popped up on top & the tall blue vase added on the left. The greeting was die cut & it’s backed w/ 2 plain cuts out of turquoise to shadow it. One is placed a little above the greeting & the other a little below it.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
