Today, I have a very sweet, feminie card, all pretty in pink. I kept the color palette simple with only a few accents in black & green. This new basketweave cover die is perfect to let a little of a second color shine through and add a little interest to the background.
A big congrats to Jayne, the newest Featured Stamper FS951! She has a beautiful gallery & I didn’t go far to find THIS card to case. I kept the general layout w/ flowers surrounding a greeting, but I used different dies, colors & changed the layered circle to a layered long oval & used a background die.
To make my card, I die cut the basket weave cover die in white & backed it w/ a lt pink panel. All of the flowers were die cut out of white then I used a blending brush & 2 shades of pink ink on them, going from the centers outward. The two shades of pink were blended on top of each other since neither one alone really went w/ the pink background, but together they complemented it well. The leaves were cut out of a spring green & also blended w/ a little green ink. Two sizes of the swanky ovals were cut & the top white one was popped up a couple of layers. Then flowers were shaped before being put together & attached to the card. For the greeting, I die cut 2 black shapes of the words & offset them, above & below to shadow the birthday wish words.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
