This is a spooky fun little wreath card for Halloween. Wreaths are a great opportunity to decorate for any season, using any colors, greenery (or in this case purply) and little images or dies you wish.
For the Inspiration Challenge IC1034, we are visiting Terrain & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS purple haunted house that inspired my card.
To make my card, I die cut the twig wreath & ferns out of 2 shades of purple. The wreath is also attached to a like piece of card board to give it strength. All of the ferns were attached, keeping to one side only. A large pale yellow circle was die cut to go behind it & I used some blending brushes & some yellow & yellow-orange inks to add color around the outside. After attaching the wreath on top, I die cut the house out of the same purples, pieced it together & attached it to the bottom of the wreath. A couple of tiny ghosts & some black bats were added. To give the bats glowing eyes, I first dotted them with a white gel pen. When dry, I dotted over the white with a neon yellow pen. The purple background was color blended on top & bottom with a little darker purple ink. The entire moon/wreath was popped up one more layer before attaching to the purple. The greeting was die cut out of the same lt yellow & the top & bottom were inked with the yellow-orange ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
