For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC776), we are headed to Halloween Costumes. Some really spooky stuff there & I was inspired by THIS picture.
For my spooky scene, I die cut the grey bg & all the crows, bats, tree & owl out of black. The moon is just a largish yellow circle & I sponged some orange ink around the edges. The white fence & tombstones were die cut & I wrote RIP on a few of them & added cracks to others (these are all part of the Spooky House die) . I had a sponged piece of yellow/orange & die cut the pumpkin out of it. For the clouds at the top, I sponged on some picket fence Distress ink on the edges in order to have them show up a little more. Then it was just a matter of piecing everything all together. The only stamping on this was the greeting & I sponged the edges of it, too. The eyes were added on the crows & bats using a white Posca paint pen.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC771), we’re headed to Stuffed Safari. They have some really cute stuffed critters & was drawn to the bats & cats on THIS page.
My card today is pretty easy. I die cut a white panel then masked off an area on either side & sponged the colors inside the unmasked area. Put it in my Misti & stamped the spooky tree image a few times. Just to give it a little punch & imitate a layer, I added a couple of thin black strips on either side. Stamped the greeting & some bats & done!
Here’s a look at the inside.

A big congrats to Barbara, the newest Featured Stamper (FS709) on Splitcoast! She has a fabulous gallery w/ wonderful coloring & cute images. I chose THIS card to case. I kept the slimline & triple images, but I used different stamps & dies & made mine a Halloween card.
For my card, I die cut the slimline panel then placed it over the Halloween bg image in order to pick the areas I wanted to show. I sort of cherry picked the areas so the greeting would show & had to die cut them w/ the circles dies to place them inside the openings. I colored the three areas then cut a slightly larger black layer & used a circle die to cut out the centers & placed my Halloween images inside. I added some die cut bats, webs & a spider to finish it.
Here are the Copics I used:
