Happy Haunting

I have spooky fun Halloween card today and it’s fun and simple to make. A few dies, some green ink, a stencil and a cute little Jack O’Lanterns set are all you need. The bonus is the black tree was flipped over and used a stencil on the right side, before attaching it on the left,

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge (FS924) so a big congrats to Claire! She has a really wonderful gallery & after much browsing I chose THIS card to case. I kept the Halloween theme, the green stenciled background & black tree with Jack O’Lanterns, but I used different dies, different stencil & colored my Jack O’Lanterns.

After die cutting the white front & the black tree, I flipped the tree over & held it on the right side while I sponged the green inks around it. Then I placed a Jack O’Lantern face stencil & sponged thru it w/ a little bit darker green. For the hanging pumpkins, I stamped, colored & die cut the Jack O’Lantern banner, then cut them off of the string & attached the to the tree along with the little owl that comes with the tree die. I added the greeting & a few black bats to finish it.

The tree was attached to card board to give it a little lift. Here are the Copics I used for the little Jack O’Lanterns:

Boo Bat

This was such a fun Halloween card to make! A few dies, a bat stencil with one color of ink is all you need. Add a fun greeting and you’re all set.

A big congrats to Tracy, the newest Featured Stamper (FS921)! She has a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout & fun Halloween bat theme, but I used dies & a stencil instead of stamps & moved the greeting.
For my batty card, I die cut the big bat pieces plus a couple of little bats out of black, gray & a little white. I used a marker to color the white bits for the lg bat’s face. I used a bat stencil & some apricot ink to make the small white & orange bg. On the large orange background, I used a paver die to emboss it instead of die cut it. The lg bat was attached to a couple of circles & I used a pair of tags for the greeting.

Hippo Halloween

Today, I have a Halloween card with a trio of super cute hippos all dressed up and ready to trick-or-treat. These little guys are easy to color and come with coordinating dies so this card comes together in a flash. Three sizes of the new narrow layers dies were used to cut the background rectangles.

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC981) we are visiting European Splendor & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS cute picture. It inspired me to have the stacked layers for the background & add the bat & dressed up hippos instead of cupcakes.

After coloring & die cutting the hippos, I added them to die cut card board to give them a little lift & stability. The 2 colors of orange rectangles were die cut using 3 sizes of narrow stitched rectangle dies. The greeting was stamped onto a white rectangle & added along w/ the bat & skull.
