Autumn colors are the best! I love all the leaves and colors. I also love making wreaths and today I have a twig wreath with wheat grass in fall colors. The wheat heads are textured and have a bit of sparkle to them.
For the Inspiration Challenge, we are visiting World Market & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS picture for my inspiration. I liked the wispy look of the wreath against the white door.
To make my wreath, I die cut one brown & one Kraft twig wreath then stacked them w/ a cardboard version underneath. The stalks of the wheat were cut out of Kraft & brown then arranged underneath the wreath. I trimmed off any pieces that went inside the wreath. I had a stack of paint chips from Lowe’s that are a sandstone texture & have a bit of sparkle in them. I used these to cut the heads of the wheat out & attached them to the stalks. The greeting was stamped on a die cut circle & placed under the center of the wreath. Another larger cardboard circle was attached under the wreath to help hold all of the wheat stalks in place. A piece of designer paper was used for the background & it is attached to a very narrow layer of rust colored card stock.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
