Be Thankful

Since fall is coming to an end and Thanksgiving is next Thursday, this may be my last autumn card for the year. And I had a lot of fun making this one. Once you start die cutting these beautiful leaves out of fall colors, it’s hard to stop! So my wreath has a bushel of leaves on it.  So much more fun than raking them in the yard.

A big congrats to Dawn, the newest Featured Stamper, FS929! She has a beautiful gallery & I didn’t have to go far to find THIS card to case. I kept the layout & leaves around a circle, but used different dies, slightly different colors & added a few red rust colored layers.

My card is pretty self explanatory. I die cut a bunch of these leaves out of all of the fall colors you see. I love the veining on the leaves & there are a few bigger ones I didn’t use. The greeting was stamped on a stitched circle, backed with a narrow circle of the red rust, then attached to a larger stitched circle. These are all popped up a bit. I added some sticky tape to the back of the circle then started arranging the leaves. After the first layer was stuck to the back, I added a bit of glue to the succeeding layers then attached a cardboard circle to the back side to hold them all in place. The white layers were also backed with very narrow red rust layers.

Thanks
so much for stopping by!
