NCC Teal Easter Pansies cu 05790
    Weekly-FavoriteBest of 2015 SCS
Today we are taking another look at the North Coast Creations February release! Don’t you just love the cute bunnies & beautiful flowers? Perfect for all your Easter & Spring cards!

For my first card, I used the lovely Pansies image & since I wanted to use some of this beautiful Shabby Rose paper from ODBD, I used my Copics to color them in unconventional colors then fussy cut them. A lot of times when I’m figuring out a design for a card, I’ll get a semi-finished picture in my head of what I’m going for. Sometimes the finished project looks pretty close, but more often it morphs quite a lot as I work with it. This card looks almost exactly as I pictured it which is a bit unusual but very welcome!

For the Cathedral Window, I die cut a white frame, then white embossed the Marble Window onto vellum, colored it on the back side w/ a blue/green Copic, cut around it & attached it underneath the white frame. The white Asters & Fancy Foliage vines were die cut and added around the pansies. I used the largest die of the Flourished Star Pattern dies to die cut the beautiful Shabby Rose paper for my big background. For the largest layer, I used one of the darker Copics to color a matching frame then added a few Candi dots & a little Stickles to the pansy centers.  These are the Copics I used.

    Supplies:

Stamps:  North Coast Creations – Pansies, Our Daily Bread designs – Cathedral Window Marble
Paper:  Neenah white, X-Press It white, dp (ODBD – Shabby Rose paper), vellum
Ink:  Memento tuxedo black, Colorbox frost white pigment
Accessories: ODBD Asters, Fancy Foliage, Flourished Star Pattern & Cathedral Window dies,  Copic markers, Spellbinders A2 matting basics A & nested pennant dies, stickles, Candi dots, white embossing powder

My second card uses the super cute bunny from the Hippity Hoppity set. I colored & fussy cut him then placed him so it looks like he’s sitting inside the circle of a little window. On the piece behind the window, I stamped the ODBD gingham background w/ the pink ink. I wanted the opening behind him to be on the diagonal but the rest to be square w/ the frame, so after I die cut it to fit around the square, I used a circle die to cut out the inside, rotated it, then put it back. I added some die cut grass, sponged w/ the same pink ink, behind him and also behind the frame.

The greeting was stamped & die cut along w/ a little heart charm & tied with some baker’s twine. To finish, I white embossed the butterfly branch, then sponged the pink on it & die cut w/ the matching die. I trimmed off a few butterflies for the front & put more of them on the inside (below).NCC Somebunny inside 05788
These are the Copics I used.

    NCC Pink Bunny 05568
For my first card, I used the super cute Hippity Hoppity set. Don’t you just love the expression on the bunny’s face? When I think of Easter bunnies, I immediately think of pink & white. Nothing like a little fluffy white bunny with pink ears, feet & belly! I know white can be a hard color to try & shade, but if you use just a little light cool gray, it will make a huge difference. Use cool grays because on white, warm or neutrals will tend to look a little dirty. So after coloring my bunny, I used a little out of the box (click for tutorial) treatment so his ears wouldn’t be chopped off, lol. For the background I die cut an ODBD Vintage Flourish Pattern background & also the layer behind the bunny out of white. I used the pink ink to sponge from the bottom up on both so they would be darker pink at the bottom & fade to white at the top. I also sponged pink on some of the die cut small eggs. I combined two of the set greetings on the large egg & added the die cut grass. Two of the smallest Aster die cuts were sponged in the center & added on either side. These are the Copics I used.

    Supplies:

Stamps:  North Coast Creations – Hippity Hoppity
Paper:  Neenah white, X-Press It white
Ink:  Memento tuxedo black, Distress ink angel pink
Accessories: ODBD Vintage Flourish Pattern, Vintage Label, Asters dies, Eggs & Grass Border dies,  Copic markers, Cuttlebug Swiss dots embossing folder

My second card uses the beautiful Pansies set.
    NCC Eastertime Hello cu 05578
I went with purple pansies since that color is most prevalent in my area. They are so dramatic & velvety! I stamped the pansies twice, colored them then fussy cut them and some of the petals on the top pansy to pop up on top.
    NCC Eastertime Hello 05577
The pansies are attached to a purple die cut Quatrefoil Design . I die cut the green layer w/ the solid outline, then cut another Quatrefoil pattern out of it to get the frame. Both are attached to a white layer I cut w/ the solid die then embossed w/ the pattern die. The large white background was die cut using the Quatrefoil Pattern die. I used the largest of the Flourished Star Pattern die to cut the large purple mat then added a frame I die cut out a piece of designer paper from the Christian Faith paper collection.

    Supplies:

Stamps:  North Coast Creations – Pansies
Paper:  Neenah white, X-Press It white, purple, moss green, dp (ODBD Christian Faith collection)
    Ink:  Memento tuxedo black
Accessories: ODBD Flourished Star Pattern, Quatrefoil Pattern, Quatrefoil Design dies,  Copic markers, Spellbinders A2 matting basics A & B, petite oval dies, stickles

Today we are taking another look at the North Coast Creations December Release! Such fun images for big & little boys!
    NCC Red Truck Bday 05439
On my first card, I used the Dump Truck Birthday set. After coloring and die cutting, I added some of the ODBD Patriotic paper and an ODBD Pennant across the top. The die cut banner was stamped w/ letters from the ODBD Pennant Alphabet. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
