For the Inspiration Challenge (IC719) on Splitcoast, we’re heading to Dormify. A fun site (especially for back to schoolers) & I was inspired by THIS poster. I really liked the orange/blue combo.

To make my beach scene, I masked off the water & sky area & sponged in some oranges for the ground/sand, added a little brown to the sides along w/ stamping a splatter image for a little texture. The mask was reversed for the water & sky & those were sponged. I used some Tombow markers to “ink” up the palm trees & stamped them on either side. Surfer boy Zeke was colored & fussy cut & the old woody was die cut. The greeting is partly another stamp combined w/ some die cut & colored letters. I added the white wavy polaroid type frame for a little separation & to make the greeting stand out.

Here is the inside & the Copics I used:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:

Paper:  Staples 110# white, X-Press It
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Distress inks tumbled glass, salty ocean, spun sugar, dried marigold, carved pumpkin, ripe persimmon, tea dye
Accessories:Rubbernecker: Stitched Rectangles,Woody, Alphabet Upper Case,Alphabet Lower CaseRectangle Scallop, Square Scallop dies, Tombow markers, Copic Markers

For the Splitcoast Color Challenge (CC749), I made this card using the sweet Over the Moon set from Rubbernecker Stamps. Since the colors are peacock, Bermuda bay & silver w/ a dessert option of sparkle. I thought those colors would work well w/ this cute bunny sitting in the crescent moon.

After the bunny & moon were colored & die cut w/ matching dies. I silver embossed some stars here & there & also the greeting. The bg behind the bunny is an acrylic shimmer paint bg where I just swiped the paint across w/ an old credit card & sprinkled glitter onto it before it dried. I added a few more silver embossed stars to it. I used a new Stars Stencil for the solid silver stars & embossed them, as well.

Here are the Copics I used.

A big congrats to Angie, the newest Featured Stamper (FS635) on Splitcoast! She has a beautiful gallery & I chose THIS to case, mainly because I have the same image. Since I did use the same image, I changed most everything else..the colors, dies & layout.

My card started with a Brusho background I made ages ago. It’s sort of how I imagine deep space would look & thought it would look good behind this happy little girl, who’s in her own little world, blissfully swinging from a star. Remember that feeling, as if you’re flying? I put her in my Misti, stamped, colored her w/ Copics then overstamped her. I stamped the greeting on a circle die cut & added a narrow frame. The stars were die cut out of white glitter paper.

Below is the inside, using leftovers from the front & next to it are the Copics I used.
