It’s my pleasure to host this week’s challenge & a big congrats to Mary Beth, the newest Featured Stamper (FS772) on Splitcoast! She has a lovely gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the Christmas theme & color palette, but used different dies, a stencil & turned mine vertical.
My Christmas card started w/ a Green alcohol ink bg I made I don’t even know how long ago. I used a stained glass stencil, but since I only wanted the lines (the stencil fills in the centers), I tacked it down on a piece of white & sponged the metallic gold ink all over it as you’d normally do. Carefully, I lifted the stencil & turned it inked side down on top of my AI bg & used a brayer to go over it. That left me w/ just the lines & I quickly heat embossed it w/ mirror gold powder. The large brushed gold layer was cut w/ a stitched rect die then I die cut it again w/ the candle circle. The flame parts were cut out of 2 different shades of gold, as well as the stitched frame. These were attached on top of the green bg & the greeting was also gold embossed on a narrow dk green strip. The entire candle layer is popped up on a foam layer to give it a little dimension.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
