It’s my pleasure to host the 700th Inspiration Challenge (IC700)! Wow! That’s a lot of inspiration. And I chose a place that was a discussion of colors. For my first card, I was inspired by THIS. I love all the blue butterflies.
After coloring & die cutting the butterflies, I sponged the Distress inks onto my white panel, then sprayed it w/ thinned out white acrylic paint. I thought it still needed more, so stamped over the sponged areas w/ the same Distress inks using a splatter bg image.
Here’s the inside & the Copics I used for the butterflies.
Stamps:Â Rubbernecker Stamps: Brush Butterflies , Splatter Bg |
Paper:Â Staples 110# white, X-Press It, gray |
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Versaclair nocturne, Distress inks tumbled glass, evergreen bough, weathered wood, black soot |
Accessories: Rubbernecker stitched rectangles, Fluttering Butterflies , Nested Banner Stitch, Rectangle Stitch Frame , Floral Frame dies, Copic markers, white Posca paint pen |
My second card is all about shades of gray & black. My moonlit scene was inspired by THIS picture.
After die cutting the birches & grasses out of black, a circle of white & a bg out of gray, I sponged on a little black & gray onto the gray bg.
I used white & lt. gray Prismacolor pencils to add some depth & shading to the moon, birches & grasses.
