It’s my turn to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC678) & I chose Joss & Main for the site. They have some fab Holiday decorations & ideas. I was inspired by THIS set of canapé plates. I really love the winter images & plaid.
After stamping & coloring my holiday snowman, I stamped the plaid background onto light red cardstock w/ black ink then used a few darker red Copics to add a little tone variation. I die cut both panels then used a curved border die to cut the bottom of the snowman panel. A couple of die cut buttons were added w/ a little glossy dimensional glaze added on top of them. The greeting was a little too large, so I stamped it w/ Stazon on the front of a piece of shrink plastic, die cut it w/ a circle die & most importantly, punched the hole at the top before shrinking it w/ a heat gun. I used a G02 to color the backside before I shrunk it. It was barely even noticeable but look how much darker it became when shrunk. A little Stickles was added to the snow & icicles.
Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today’s Technique Challenge (TLC542) has us going every which way with one of our main images. Actually, 2 of my main images are going different directions..the greeting was split into these 4 parts and stamped around the sides. The woven plaid stripe image was stamped in 2 directions.
I needed a get well/feel better card for one of my brothers-in-law. Poor guy had a really nasty fall and ended up with fractured vertebrae in his neck, a banged up knee and a face that looks like he was in a prize fight! Ouch! This particular brother of my hubs is a well know grill master. So hubs say, can you make a card w/ a barbeque theme? Really? I’ve totally got that covered! I left off the Happy Birthday part of the greeting and made a tablecloth plaid layer using the woven plaid stamp. For the inside, I used the leftover frame (after die cutting it for the front) and added a feel better greeting and a die cut bbq grill.
The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the (ridiculous number) of Copics I used.

A big CONGRATS to Allison, the Featured Stamper (FS303) on Splitcoast this week! What a super gallery she has! After much browsing, I kept coming back to her Celebrate the Season card. I kept the Christmas theme, the plaid and layout but I used different images, made my own plaid background (instead of using designer paper) and used a different die cut for my frame.
The images are all from DRS Designs. I stamped the main image twice on white card stock, colored them w/ Copics and cut out the just the holly leaves on one to attach on top of the matching area on the base image. After die cutting my frame, I used a Copic marker to add some color inbetween the two dies on the raised area.
I used the plaid maker stamps and inks and a red Tombow marker to make my plaid background. The cut out image was attached on top of my frame w/ a die cut fancy lattice behind it and a dark red piece of card stock behind it. A few punched snowflakes were added in opposite corners and my 5.50 x 4.25 card was finished.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
