I made this for 2 Splitcoast Challenges today…the Technique (TLC675) acetate inking, and the Clean & Simple (CAS466) to have/use something clear.

For the TLC, I used DOX (Distress oxide ink) on a piece of acetate to make the piece I used behind the window.  For the CAS (something clear) I used a portion of a window die (clear window) & put my Santa puppy on the ledge looking out. The white front was stamped w/ the snowflakes & embossed w/ the bricked folder & I added the greeting (half die cut, half stamped) & a few punched snowflakes.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Today we are taking a look back at the North Coast Creations November Release!
Don’t you love these cute Christmas pet sets? If his ears were a little fluffier, this cute puppy would look a lot like a blonde cocker spaniel we had. That dog’s middle name was trouble.  His first name was Tigger…mainly because when his coat was a little long, he looked a lot like a lion and because our daughter was little and that was what she wanted to name him, lol. When Tig was a few years old, we adopted a parrot…a conure named Odie. The first sound he imitated was Tig’s bark. So we had a dog and a parrot that both barked.

I think this set will be perfect for a Christmas card for that dog lover on your list. And the image itself can be used all year long…for pet sympathy, congrats on your new puppy..etc. I’m using at as a Christmas card w/ one of the greetings that comes with it. I stamped it with the espresso ink directly onto one of the beautiful ODBD Christmas Paper 2013 Collection. I die cut it but altered the curved ends by cutting them off straight and had the bow on the puppy out of the box. A die cut ornament from the ODBD Fancy Ornaments dies was die cut out of a red piece of the same paper pack. I added a stamped and fussy cut pine cone branch on top. The striped paper (from the same pack) was die cut on top and bottom and I added some gold pearl pen dots. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.

Today’s Technique Lover’s Challenge ( TLC374) is a real challenge! Holly really knows how to put a crimp in my style, lol. In one fell swoop, she took out half of my stamping arsenal! I really love my dies and embossing folders. But it’s good to get back to the basics now and again.

This also is very CAS (clean & simple) which is also out of character for me. I’m also combining it with yesterday’s Featured Stamper challenge (FS272) and once again, I cased Karen’s Rainbow Branches. I really love that card! I kept the rainbow, similar layout and CAS design, but I changed images, added a ribbon and some scoring. The images are Our Daily Bread designs.

So for my CAS card, I used a couple of rainbow ink pads I’ve had since time began. For the sentiment, I added an eyelet and ran some ribbon through it. (Holly said we could use eyelets and 1 ribbon!). The bottom part was scored w/ a bone folder so old it’s actually kind of formed to the shape of my hand, lol. Nothing new (except the stamps) or fancy here…just back to the basics!

Thanks so much for looking!
