Christmas Pocket Dog

It’s about time to get my Christmas cards wrapped up so I made one for a dog lover in my family. This looks nothing like the dog, but it works, anyway. I put the little cutie in a pocket on a shirt and made the shirt out of a Chrismtas paper.

A big congrats to Sybil, the newest Featured Stamper (FS925)! She has a wonderful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the animal in the pocket but changed mine to a dog in a shirt pocket, made a Christmas theme & used different images, dies & papers.

I die cut a piece of Christmas tree paper to use as my shirt. After die cutting the larger background & pocket out of green and the tie out of red, I used a paw print stencil to add a fun dog element to them. I used the pocket from the Overalls instead of from the shirt because it is a little larger. The little dog was colored & die cut then I snipped off the bottom half of him in order to have the scarf partially out of the pocket. The dog’s lower half was attached back on the inside of the pocket. I added a white frame which I cut out the inside using the next largest plain rectangle.

The pocket was popped up & I added a small paw print from part of one of the greetings from the set. Here are the Copics I used: (not all of them were used on this image, but I colored them all at the same time.)

Thanks
so much for stopping by!
