Thanksgiving Wreath

November is here and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Today I have a fairly simple card using a fab wooden sign as my background and minimalistic sunflower wreath. This sunflower wreath set and matching dies make it a snap! And I’m really loving this wooden sign and frame die. Let me show you how I made this.

It’s my turn to host the Inspiration Challenge & we’re visiting a wonderful site called Home is Where the Bost Is & her Pinterest Board where I found THIS to use as my inspiration.

After stamping & coloring the oval sunflower wreath & an extra sunflower, I die cut them w/ their matching dies. For the background, I die cut the wooden sign out of Kraft card stock & the backing frame layer out of white. I wanted the wooden background to be a little softer & worn, so I took white ink & rubbed the ink pad directly over the entire area. The white only covered the high points leaving the grain lines the Kraft color. I love the worn, whitewashed look it gave! The greeting was stamped and die cut w/ the smallest tag & the next size tag was die cut out of the Kraft. I placed it under the wooden sign die & ran it through then whitewashed it, as well. This tag set is a real must have..it has 3 sized of each shape & I picked this shape because it mimicked the shape of the wooden sign background.

I popped up the wreat & sign then added a worn brass brad to “hang” my wreath. A little stickles was added to the sunflower centers. Here are the Copics I used on the wreath:
