For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC849), we’re visiting a company called Babasouk & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS lovely picture.

For my spring slimline, I stamped, colored & fussy cut the bike, then sponged the background sky, grass & sun. I used some little flower images from the Woodlands set to ad the row of flowers. The picket fence was die cut & since it’s an A2 size, I didn’t cut all the way to the end, moved the die down, matching up the pickets, & cut the rest of the way, effectively adding almost another length of fence. A lt gray Copic was used to add some dimension to the fence. A couple of sections of grass were added; 1 behind the fence & 1 in front. The cloud edges were lightly sponged & added across the top.

Here are the Copics I used:

Weekly-Favorite
The Sketch Challenge (SC585) on Splitcoast today turned out to be almost as challenging as the colors were yesterday. I made it even harder on myself by choosing to resize the fancy die & try to cut the greeting w/ a curved die.

After stamping the bike scene w/ Memento, coloring w/ Copics & over stamping w/ Versafine, I die cut it. But as mentioned, I had to make the fancy die a little narrower to fit inside the red layer. The die is mirrored on either side so I had to cut it to just shy of the center point, turn it around, bring the opposite side in & cut to again, almost the center point. The end result removed about 3/8″ of the center section. Then I had to repeat this to varying degrees w/ the other two, smaller panels. Aye yi yi! I probably just should have used a plain die, but I wanted more of the red to show through. The sky was mostly sponged..I masked just the top area of the fence then filled in between the fence boards w/ a Copic.

Here’s a look at the inside (I just doodled the frame) & below it are the Copics I used. Keep Moving inside 08766

Valentine Ride cu 08226
Today’s Inspiration Challenge (IC529) is a site full of fun items. I saw THIS and thought the bicycle theme would make a cute Valentine.

The bicycle was die cut and added to a sponged background. I had already stamped the heart tree & masking it would have been a nightmare so I just carefully sponged around it & used a marker to fill in any blank spots. I did have to do a little out of the box on the left side of three before I added it to a polka dot stamped layer. The big solid hearts were stamped & fussy cut then I added red stickles to them & some Wink of Stella to the hearts on the tree.

Here’s a look at the inside w/ just some simple stamping.
