For my card, I stamped the Holly Tag with black ink, colored it with markers and cut it out. The sentiment was stamped with library green ink and I used markers to add the red and blue shadows/highlights. It was die cut using a Spellbinders labels 4. I used the same die to trace a sky blue frame for it and hand cut it.

I used a scallop border die to cut the bottom of a piece of dp and a white strip and layered them together. For the white band, I embossed it with holly folder,  cut out a section and added narrow red and sky blue strips to the top and bottom edges. The punched red strip was done with a border punch. I embossed the large white holly, cut it out and sponged a little neptune ink around the edges. The ribbon was white and I colored it with a red marker. It’s all attached to a white 5.5 x 4.25 card.

Depending on where you live Fall may or may not be part of your season, yet, imagine all the possibilities with this lovely image. How about blending various mediums on your craft sheet and created a unique background? Fall is Near simply, allows your creativity to flow! Fall is Near, lovely as a card or consider putting it in a frame! With Christmas right around the corner, can be used as a manly gift for that special someone in your life!

For my card, I stamped the image with permanent black ink onto watercolor paper.  I used a combination of reinkers and markers to watercolor the image. Highlights were added with a white gel pen.  The lt blue frame was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and I cut the inside out and attached over the image.  The embossing was highlighted with a white Permapaque pen. Two butterflies were colored, cut out and attached. I used markers directly on the sentiment image before stamping. I added a little outline with a dark  blue gel pen.

  • ODBD Happy Birthday, Kelley!

We all hope you have the best birthday ever, Kelley! So to start  you on your way, the Breadsticks put this little hop together for you.

I’m using images from  ODBD’s Sing to the Lord set. The bird, sentiment and one extra flower were all stamped in dk red. I used Prismacolor pencils to add some color and before you start wondering, I have no idea what kind of sparrow this is supposed to be.  I just colored him to go with my dp, lol. Oval Nesties and the out of the box Nestie technique was used for the bird image. Graduated sizes of ovals were used for the additional layers (I used both the Large Petite ovals and the Small Petite ovals to get these sizes) and I layered them offset toward the top of the ovals. All the ovals are backed with some thin chipboard to give them added dimension. A little soft sand ink was sponged around the edges of the image oval.

On the soft yellowish print layer, I added some doodling with a burgundy Micron pen. On the burgundy band, I used a branch border folder to emboss it. The sentiment was cut out of the box as well and attached to a burgundy layer.
