    • Cheryl Scrivens is joining us on the Challenge Team!!

Lots of changes but we’ll still be bringing you the same wonderful images and designs!

On my first card, I white embossed the sentiment on teal card stock and die cut it w/ a mega oval die. The rest of the framing was die cut w/ the  radiant rectangles dies. I cut two each of the radiant rectangle dies and the oval and sandwiched a piece of vellum in between them so it would look as pretty on the inside as on the outside. I added some pearls to my 6 x 4.50 card.

n my second card, I silver embossed the swirly cake on black card stock and die cut w/ a Labels 4 die. The silver layer behind it was die cut w/ Gold Labels 4 die. I used a white gel pen to color in the little hearts and went over the center hearts w/ a red Micron pen. The black background was stamped w/ white pigment ink using the Brocade Background. I let it dry a bit before sprinkling on white embossing powder and heat embossing it.

  • ODBD June Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the June Our Daily Bread Designs Release Blog Hop!

    Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

On my first card, I stamped the soldier with red ink, masked him and stamped the old flag background with stonewashed ink. A piece of vellum was over laid and the greeting was stamped using a combination of the red/iris chalk inks. I also stamped 3 stars on the vellum and a bunch of the stars on white card stock. Some plain white stars were die cut then I used a star punch to punch out the stamped stars and attach them on top of the die cut stars down the left side. The eagle was stamped w/ the denim ink and fussy cut. I die cut a white frame to attach on top of the vellum panel before everything else was attached to my 4.25 x 5.50 card.

    Supplies:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs – Some Gave All, Home of the Free, Old Flag Bg, Not Forgotten
    Paper: Neenah white, vellum
Ink: Adirondack denim & stonewashed inks, Colorbox lipstick red & blue iris chalk inks
Accessories: Spellbinders star & square dies (resized to make frame around vellum), star punch

    Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com
On my second card, I stamped the old flag bg on navy card stock using white chalk ink. The eagle was stamped w/ denim ink and a few areas were colored w/ a red Copic maker before I cut him out. I die cut 2 mega ovals to place under the eagle and added a few red dots around the first oval. Two fussy cut stars were added on either side of the ovals. The navy bg was attached to a white 5.50 x 4.25 card and I stamped the little designs around the edges using the red ink.

    Supplies:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs – Home of the Free, Old Flag Bg, Antique Label Designs
    Paper: Neenah white, navy blue
Ink: Adirondack denim ink, Colorbox lipstick red & popcorn chalk inks
Accessories: Spellbinders rectangle & mega oval dies, Copic lipstick orange marker

  • ODBD May Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs May Release Blog Hop! you might want to start at the ODBD Blog so you don’t miss anything!

For my card, I’m using the sensational new Fishing Net Background & The Waves on the Sea sets.

    Julie Warner - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

I stamped the fishing boat scene and colored it w/ Copics, purposely leaving the sky a little streaky. Ever notice how the colors of a brilliant sunset can look streaky like that? I added some highlights w/ a white gel pen and die cut w/ a Spellbinders circle die. The shape reminded me of a porthole, so I added eyelets and little thread knots to continue that look. The net background was stamped tone on tone on the cobalt panel and 2 lg white eyelets and some tied white cord were added. The sentiment was cut out and I used a sm corner rounder on the ends. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.
