Today I have another birthday themed card. This time it features a trio of celebrating little kitties. Instead of die cutting them, I put them inside a frame and just trimmed the little outsides of the balloons to go on top of the frame. There are a lot of cute images to chose from in this set. Perfect for a cat lover as well as for kids’ birthdays.

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge FS937, so a big congrats to Sue! She has such a fun gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I made a lot of changes..mine is horizontal, hers is vertical. I used different paper, images & dies. I really liked her layout but I couldn’t make it work due to the size of the image & frames.

After coloring the image, I elected not to die cut it but rather but a frame around it. Actually a double inside/outside scallop frame. It’s popped up a bit on top of the cats & the cat panel is elevated a bit from the plaid heart paper. I cut just around the outside edge of each balloon to lift it above the frame. A pretty easy card to make!

Party Animal

This card is all about the party! So much fun, color and celebration packed into a card. The new Party Raccoon set is a ton of fun and works well for girls, guys and even the kiddos. It comes with a trio of party raccoons as well as cake, balloons, hanging stars, a present..pretty much everything you need for birthday party. (This new set is a sneak preview & will be released next week)
For the Inspiration Challenge we are visiting Weston Table & their Pinterest Board. THIS was my inspiration.

My card features one of the raccoons, balloons & a 3 tier cake. After coloring & die cutting the images, I die cut the white frame & a larger coral frame using some rectangle & square dies. The large white background was die cut w/ an Offset Diamond Cover & attached to a larger coral background. The greeting was also die cut & added to the frame. To make it more festive, I added dots of liquid glue then sprinkled on some iridescent chunky glitter. I love how it looks like it’s raining confetti.

The raccoon & cake were popped up a bit as was the top frame. Here are the Copics I used (the hard to read one on the left is a W4):

A very glittery embossed birthday card that’s sure to bring a smile on a wintry day. The turquoise vellum is such a pretty color, made even prettier with the French Script embossed with glitter teal powder. Some layered wavy frames add interest to the colored and die cut flower branches

A big congrats to Michelle, the newest Featured Stamper FS936! She has a lovely little gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout, vellum & leaf branches, but I used different images, dies, colors & heat embossed the vellum instead of dry embossing it.
To make my card, I colored & die cut the 3 leaf branches. I used a set of Wavy Rectangle dies for the vellum & also the 3 nested frames in the center. After die cutting these, I heat embossed the center frame & did the same w/ the French Script across the vellum. I love how sparkly it is! The greeting was also heat embossed on the tag. Since this vellum is darker than white or translucent, I didn’t have to worry about the adhesive showing. I ran the tape runner in lines behind all of the embossed text.
