Sending Vitamin Sea

Being sick in the summer is no fun but here’s a little get well card sure to make them feel better. Some cute little sea creatures in bright colors swimming in a sea of marbled paper against the cool aqua background is so soothing.

A big congrats to Sue, the newest Featured Stamper (FS907). She has a big beautiful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the sea creature theme & layout but I used different images, dies, colors & made mine a get well card.

After coloring & die cutting the little creatures, I die cut a piece of pale green marbled paper twice w/ a set of stacked arches. I used the larger one first, then used a size 2 down to cut out the smallest arch. The size in between the two was used to cut the teal arch. The large pale aqua background was cut w/ a large cover die w/ square holes. After cutting it, I positioned the die (on one side only) 1 square in toward the center & cut that one side only. I did this again for the bottom. I wanted some of the teal showing around the outside & this was my solution to making the die a little smaller. The greeting was stamped before I put all the layers together & added the images.

Here are the Copics I used: (that’s a BV02 in the lower left, in case you can’t see it, & the Y04 & Y17 were used on a fish I ended up not using).

Thanks
so much for stopping by!
